I'm a born and raised Calgarian. I've heard it said before that I'm lucky to be from Alberta and blessed to be from Calgary.
I couldn't agree more. Calgary has been home for the better part of my life, and I intend to keep it that way.
Not too long ago, I discovered a love for the qualities of leather. The textures, colours, and especially the imperfections that only come from a natural material. These imperfections are what I have come to love most about leather. Each piece is unique, and the individual imperfections make the leather itself amazing.
Having been lucky enough to spend many years in Calgary and Southern Alberta, I've seen the region grow, and evolve through good times and not-so-good times.
The qualities of Albertans that always stand out in my mind is our self-reliance, toughness, and hard-working nature. That is the spirit I hope to share through my leatherwork.
As someone who has travelled the world fairly extensively, there is something comforting about knowing where home is.
The numbers 50 -114 refer to the latitude and longitude coordinates of home.
50 degrees North
114 degrees West
The first number is relative to the equator, so if it is a positive number, it represents a location in the north. The second number is in relation to the prime meridian, where a negative number indicates a location to the West.
Southern Alberta, in sight of the spectacular Rocky Mountains will always be the home I return to.
